MAMSA - FLESH OF AN ANIMAL OR FLESH OF A FRUIT

Rarely has such a word invoked so much controversy... ,…….We hope that in this humble offering that this can be cleared...  Many use this word mamsa to prove that one can eat meat. Mamsa means meat BUT it also means (from the Monier Williams Dictionary)

 

Meaning:

n. sg. and pl. flesh , meat - Rig Veda (also said of the fleshy part or pulp of fruit)

Mamsa: One of the seven bodily constituents, mainly muscle (dhatu) and its metabolism.

 

Many Hindus who like to consume meat use this word esp. from the Manu Smriti to prove that eating dead bodies is all cool and legit.In the Garuda Purana and Markandeya Purana the foolish translators who supposed to expert on Sanskrit translate the word mamasa as meat. This is when the descendents are "supposed to offer meat to the forefathers.This is utter nonsense as stated in Matya Purana "Vegetarian food prepared with pure butter, milk, sugar and curd, etc. are most pleasing to the Pitrs."(Matsya Purana 17.30)

 

Cow’s milk, honey and the sweet pudding made of milk and rice and sugar with dry nuts satisfies the Pitrs forever. (Matya Purana 17.36) Flesh of animals is obtained only after killing him, which is a sin, and the killer of animals never enters the celestial abode. (Manu Smriti 5.48) It is Dharma that in the Shraddha feast one should never offer meat nor should one eat meat. Only vegetarian food must be offered because meat is obtained by killing. (Srimad Bhagavatam 7.15.7) Manu asserts that selling buying, cooking and eating meat is a sin, which is as great as killing an animal itself. (Manu Smriti 5.15)

 

The Garuda Purana is a “Vishnu” Purana and for those who say that meat can be offering in this Purana is so off the mark because this can never be stated in a “Vishnu” Purana. 

The slanderous campaign has been unleashed by different vested interests to embarrass Hindus around the world citing specific references from the Vedas, Mahabharata and the Puranas.

 

This also comes handy in convincing poor and illiterate Indians to give up their faith on the grounds that our fundamental holy books – the Vedas – contain all the inhuman elements like denigration of women, meat-eating, polygamy, casteism and above all – beef eating. The Vedas are also accused of animal sacrifice in sacrificial ceremonies popularly known as the YAJNA. Interestingly a section of home-bred intellectuals claiming to have deep study of ancient India has also come up, who cite references from works of western indologists to prove such unholy content in the Vedas.

Saying that the Vedas permit beef-eating and cow-slaughter amounts to striking a lethal blow to a Hindu’s soul. Respect for cow forms a core tenet of Hinduism. Once you are able to convince him of flaws in the foundation of this core tenet and make him feel guilty, he becomes an easy prey for the predator faiths. There are millions of ill-informed Hindus who are not empowered to counter argue and hence quietly surrender.

 

The vested interests that malign the Vedas are not confined to foreign and home-bred ideologists alone. A certain class among Hindus exploited the rest of the population including the socially and economically weaker sections by forcing them to believe and follow what they said in the name of Vedas or else face the wrath.All the slanders heaped upon the Vedas can be attributed mainly to the interpretations of commentaries written by Mahidhar, Uvat and Saayan in the medieval times; and to what Vam-margis or the Tantra cult propagated in their books in the name of the Vedas.

 

In due course the falsehood spread far and wide and they became even more deep rooted when western scholars with their half-baked knowledge of Sanskrit transliterated these interpretations of commentaries of Sayan and Mahidhar, in the name of translating the Vedas. However, they lacked the pre-requisite understanding of Shiksha (Phonetics), Vyakarana (Grammar), Nirukta (Philology), Nighantu (Vocabulary), Chhanda (Prosody), Jyotish (Astronomy), Kalpa and so on that are critical for correct interpretation of the Vedas.So let’s objectively evaluate all such misconceptions about the Vedas – the foundation of human knowledge and establish our piety, sanctity, great ideals and philosophy that cater not only to Hindus but to every human being without bars, bias or discrimination of any kind.

 

No violence against animals

“Those who see all beings as souls do not feel infatuation or anguish at their sight, for they experience oneness with them”.

 

How could people who believed in the doctrines of indestructibility, transmigration dare to kill living animals in yajnas? They might be seeing the souls of their own near and dear ones of bygone days residing in those living beings.

Samskartaa chopahartaa cha khadakashcheti ghaatakaah

Manusmriti 5.51

 

Those who permit slaying of animals; those who bring animals for slaughter; those who slaughter; those who sell meat; those who purchase meat; those who prepare dish out of it; those who serve that meat and those who eat are all murderers.

 

Breehimattam yavamattamatho maashamatho tilam

Esha vaam bhaago nihito ratnadheyaaya dantau maa hinsishtam pitaram maataram cha

Atharvaveda 6.140.2

 

O teeth! You eat rice, you eat barley, you gram and you eat sesame. These cereals are specifically meant for you. Do not kill those who are capable of being fathers and mothers.

Garbhaan khaadanti keshavaastaanito naashayaamasi

We ought to destroy those who eat cooked as well as uncooked meat, meat involving destruction of males and females, foetus and eggs.

It is definitely a great sin to kill innocents. Do not kill our cows, horses and people.

How could there be justification of cow and other animals being killed when killing is so clearly prohibited in the Vedas?

“May all bipeds and quadrupeds gain strength and nourishment “This mantra is recited by Hindus before every meal. How could the same philosophy which prays for well-being of every soul in every moment of life, approve of killing animals?

 

No violence in Yajna

 

Yajna never meant animal sacrifice in the sense popularly understood. Yajna in the Vedas meant a noble deed or the highest purifying action.

 

Adhvara iti Yajnanaama – Dhvaratihimsaakarmaa tatpratishedhah

Nirukta 2.7

 

According to Yaaska Acharya, one of the synonyms of Yajna in Nirukta or the Vedic philology is Adhvara. Dhvara means an act with himsa or violence. And therefore a-dhvara means an act involving no himsa or no violence. There are a large number of such usage of Adhvara in the Vedas. In the post-Mahabharata period, misinterpretation of the Vedas and interpolations in other scriptures took place at various points in time. Acharya Shankar re-established the Vedic values to an extent.

 

In the more recent times, Swami Dayanand Saraswati interpreted the Vedas as per the correct rules of the language and authentic evidences. His literature, which includes commentary on the Vedas, Satyarth Prakash loosely translated as Light of Truth, An Introduction to the Vedas and other texts led to widespread social reformation based on Vedic philosophy and dispelling of myths surrounding the Vedas.

 

Let us discover what the Vedas have to say on Yajna. Agne yam yagnamadhvaram vishwatah pari bhuurasi

Sa id deveshu gacchati

Rigveda 1.1.4

 

O lord of effulgence! The non-violent Yajna, you prescribe from all sides, is beneficial for all, touches divine proportions and is accepted by noble souls.The Rigveda describes Yajna as Adhvara or nonviolent throughout. Same is the case with all the other Vedas. How can it be then concluded that the Vedas permit violence or slaughter of animals?

The biggest accusation of cattle and cow slaughter comes in the context of the Yajnas that derived their names from different cattle like the Ashwamedh Yajna, the Gomedha Yajna and the Nar-medh Yajna. Even by the wildest stretch of the imagination the word Medha would not mean slaughter in this context.It's interesting to note what Yajurveda says about a horse

 

Imam ma himsirekashafam pashum kanikradam vaajinam vaajineshu

Yajurveda 13.48

 

Do not slaughter this one hoofed animal that neighs and who goes with a speed faster than most of the animals. Swamedha does not mean horse sacrifice at Yajna. Instead the Yajurveda clearly mentions that a horse ought not to be slaughtered.

 

In Shathapatha, Ashwa is a word for the nation or empire. The word medha does not mean slaughter. It denotes an act done in accordance to the intellect Alternatively it means consolidation, as evident from the root meaning of medha i.e. medhru san-ga-me

Agnirvaa ashwah

Aajyam medhah

(Shatpath 13.1.6.3)

 

Swami Dayananda Saraswati wrote in his Light of Truth:

A Yajna dedicated to the glory, wellbeing and prosperity of the Rashtra the nation or empire is known as the Ashwamedh yajna.“To keep the food pure or to keep the senses under control, or to make the food pure or to make a good use of the rays of Sun or keep the earth free from impurities[clean] is called Gomedha Yajna”.

 

“The word Gau also means the Earth and the yajna dedicated to keep the Earth the environment clean is called Gomedha Yajna”“The cremation of the body of a dead person in accordance with the principles laid down in the Vedas is called Naramedha Yajna”.

 

No beef in Vedas

 

Not only the Vedas are against animal slaughter but also vehemently oppose and prohibit cow slaughter. Yajurveda forbids killing of cows, for they provide energizing food for human beings.

Yajurveda 13.49

Do not kill cows and bulls who always deserve to be protected.

 

Aare gohaa nrhaa vadho vo astu

Rigveda 7.56.17

 

In Rigveda cow slaughter has been declared a heinous crime equivalent to human murder and it has been said that those who commits this crime should be punished.

 

Sooyavasaad bhagavatee hi bhooyaa atho vayam bhagvantah syaama

Addhi trnamaghnye vishwadaaneem piba shuddhamudakamaacharantee

Rigveda 1.164.40 or Atharv 7.73.11 or Atharv 9.10.20

 

The Aghnya cows – which are not to be killed under any circumstances– may keep themselves healthy by use of pure water and green grass, so that we may be endowed with virtues, knowledge and wealth. The Vedic Lexicon, Nighantu, gives amongst other synonyms of Gau[ or cow] the words Aghnya. Ahi, and Aditi. Yaska the commentator on Nighantu, defines these as-

 

Aghnya the one that ought not to be killed

Ahi the one that must not be slaughtered.

Aditi the one that ought not to be cut into pieces.

These three names of cow signify that the animal ought not to be put to tortures. These words appear frequently throughout the Vedas in context of the cow.

Cow – The aghnya – brings us health and prosperity

Those who feed on human, horse or animal flesh and those who destroy milk-giving Aghnya cows should be severely punished.

The entire 28th Sukta or Hymn of 6th Mandal of Rigveda sings the glory of cow.

Na taa nashanti na dabhaati taskaro naasaamamitro vyathiraa dadharshati

Na taa arvaa renukakaato ashnute na samskritramupa yanti taa abhi

Gaavo bhago gaava indro me achhaan

Yooyam gaavo medayathaa

Maa vah stena eeshata maaghanshasah

 

1. Everyone should ensure that cows are free from miseries and kept healthy.

2. God blesses those who take care of cows.

3. Even the enemies should not use any weapon on cows

4. No one should slaughter the cow

5. Cow brings prosperity and strength

6. If cows keep healthy and happy, men and women shall also keep disease free and prosperous

7. May the cow eat green grass and pure water. May they not be killed and bring prosperity to us.

 

Of course for one who likes to eat meat they will come up with anything just to prove themselves right.

VISIONS OF LIGHT IN MEDITATION


Various kinds of lights manifest during meditation owing to concentration. In the beginning, a bright, white light, the size of a pin's point will appear in the forehead in Trikuti which corresponds tentatively to the Ajna Chakra of the astral body. When the eyes are closed, you will notice different colored lights such as white, yellow, red, smoky, blue, green, mixed color, flashes like lightning, like fire, burning charcoal, fire-flies, the moon, the sun and stars. These lights appear in the mental space, Chidakasha. These are all Tanmatric lights.


Each Tanmatra has its own specific color. Prithvi (earth) Tanmatra has a yellow light; Apas (water) Tanmatra has a white light; Agni (fire) Tanmatra has a red light; Vayu (air) Tanmatra has a smoky light; and Akasha (ether) Tanmatra has a blue light. Yellow and white lights are very commonly seen. Red and blue lights are rarely noticeable. Frequently there is a combination of white and yellow lights. In the beginning, small balls of white light float about before your eyes. When you first observe this, be assured that the mind is be coming more steady and that you are progressing in concentration. After some months the size of the light will increase and you will see a full blaze of white light, bigger than the sun.

In the beginning these lights are not steady. They come and disappear immediately. They flash out from above the forehead and from the sides. They cause peculiar sensations of extreme joy and happiness and there is an intense desire for a vision of these lights. When you have steady and systematic practice for two or three hours of meditation at a stretch, these lights appear more frequently and remain steadily for a long time. The vision of the lights is a great encouragement in sadhana. It impels you to stick steadily to meditation. It gives you strong faith in superphysical matters. The appearance of the light denotes that you are transcending the physical consciousness. You are in a semiconscious state when the light appears. You are between the two planes. You must not shake the body when these lights manifest. You must be perfectly steady in the Asana. You must breathe very, very slowly.

One whose food is moderate, whose anger has been controlled, who has given up all love for society, who has subdued his passions, who has overcome all pairs of opposites (Dvandvas) and who has given up his egoism, gets a vision of a triangular light during meditation.

Sometimes during meditation you will see a brilliant dazzling light. You will find it difficult to gaze at this light. You will be compelled to withdraw your mental vision of this light. This dazzling light is the light emanating from the Sushumna.

You will see forms in the lights - either the lustrous forms of demigods (Devatas) or physical forms. You will se your Ishta Devata or chosen deity in handsome dress with four hands and weapons. Siddhas, Rishis and other Devatas appear before you to encourage you. You will find a huge collection of Devatas and celestial ladies (Apsaras) with various musical instruments in their hands. You will also see beautiful flower gardens, fine palatial buildings, rivers, mountains, golden temples, sceneries so lovely and picturesque as cannot be adequately described.

The experiences vary with different individuals. What one man experiences, may not be experienced by another man. Many erroneously believe that they have realized the self when they get these experiences, stop their Sadhana and try to move in the society to preach a new cult and religion in the name of Loka-sangraha. This is a serious blunder. This is not realization at all. These are simple encouragements from your Ishta Devata to convince you of a higher spiritual life and push you on in your steady, systematic and incessant practice of meditation with zeal and enthusiasm. You will have to ignore these things and drive them away. You must not care a bit for the vision of lights. You must fix your attention on the Lakshya, the goal, viz., Brahman. These visions appear in some persons within a few days, while in others within six or nine months. It depends upon the state of the mind and degree of concentration.

ARDHANARISWAR

In the form of male and female, matted hair with moon, axe, smeared in red (aruNa), wearing snakes and the skin of tiger, embracing the bull and with a bent leg, this the right half, and the left black in color, hand holding a (lily) flower close to the chest, with a silk like lotus foot, wearing gold ornaments, salutations to the Half female God.

Purana of the deity

Ardhanari Ishvarar : half female God (bhoga murti) Sage bRingi is one of the ardent devotees of Lord shiva. He used to worship only Lord shiva and not shakti. Goddess shakti, being the power as the name indicate, pulled out the energy from bRingi mahaRishi’s body. Now he was even unable to stand. 

He pleaded to God. God shiva provided him with a stick. On its support he stood and still worshipped Lord shiva alone. Goddess shakti wanted to become an inseparable part of Lord shiva’s form. She oberved the kEdhAra mahA vrata (1) austerity, which is now known as deepAvaLi. Pleased with her austerity, Lord shiva granted her the boon of being part of His form. So the Lord now appeared male on the right side and female on the left side and hence became ardhanArIshvara.

Significance of this form

This is one of the very important form of God, Hindus worship. This is a much-hailed form in scriptures of various languages. Hindus do not say that the God is only male. God is male - female and neuter too ! 

Since God is conceptually beyond sex, though gets referred as He/She many times, it is more appropriate to refer as It, especially at Its intrinsic condition, as do many hindu scriptures.

Philosophically, this form is quite associated with the Grace of God. shiva and shakti are one and the same Supreme. The formless God is called parashiva. On Its own free-will for the benefit of pashus (souls), which are drowned in pAsha (bondage), It thinks to create the worlds. Its dynamism of creation thus springs out of It, which is called shakti. Now shiva and Its power shakti create everything. This is the form of their togetherness that springs out of Lord shiva. Because of this the form is associated with the grace of God. shiva and shakti though the same may also act independently. They are associated like the person and the action of the person. They are one and the same like the ice and the water - one becomes the other.

CANCER :  ANTI - CANCER HERBS

There are dozens of herbs that are said to have anticancer properties, but clinical studies on their effectiveness is limited. Speak to your physician if you are thinking of adding herbs to your daily intake to treat or prevent cancer;

Saffron

Saffron is probably better known as a spice than as a medicinal herb, but it has been found to have anticancer properties. A report from “Experimental Biology And Medicine” states that saffron has the ability to prevent the development of, and slow the growth of, cancerous cells and tumors. When applied topically, saffron is able to help prevent the development of skin cancers.

Oldenlandia:-

Oldenlandia diffusa is an herb that is native to Asia, and has been used for thousands of years as a snake bite remedy. It is now regarded as an anticancer herb. One of the best scientific studies on oldenlandia’s affect on cancer is published in the 2004 issue of the “Journal of Herbal Pharmacotherapy”. This study reports that oldenlandia was tested against eight different cancer cell types, and it showed that it was able to stop the growth of these cancer cells. Not only did it stop the growth of the cancer, it also promoted the death of the cancer cells. 

Researchers conclude that oldenlandia may be a powerful anticancer herb.

Artemisia

Artemisia is also known as “sweet wormwood” and it has been used for years to treat a number of ailments, from fever, to headaches, to malaria. Memorial SloanKettering Cancer Center in New York reports that it also is used as an anticancer treatment. It contains a compound called artemisinin, which has been found to stop the spread of thyroid cancer cells, and promote cell death in lung cancer.

Scutellaria

Scutellaria is an herb that is native to China and Korea. A study published in the February 2007 issue of “Phytotherapy Research” reports that scutellaria takes an active role against cancer no matter which stage the cancer is in. It prevents the development of cancer cells, and prevents new cancer cells from forming or developing off an existing tumor. This study states that scutellaria is particularly effective against gynecological cancers.

Curcumin

Curcumin is from the turmeric herb and is another herb that is better known as a spice than as an anticancer treatment. However, a study in the JanuaryFebruary issue of “Anticancer Research” shows that like scutellaria, curcumin is effective in treating the different stages of cancer. It is found to stop the development of tumors, as well as tumor growth, and the spread of cancer cells to other parts of the body. The study also reports that curcumin was given to human subjects in a dose of up to 10g per day with no evidence of toxic effects.

MEDITATION

Meditation is witnessing. To meditate means to become a witness, to become aware. Meditation means awareness. One who engaged in meditation, with all his care, observes the atmosphere of the surrounding. Attention will be based with awareness. He can create a healthy relation with all the people nearby. The love will form a good culture of morality. That will certainly create a world of peace. The journey of love leads to meditation. Where there is love, there will be definitely the discipline. The pure atmosphere of innocence can prevail.

Through the brilliancy, we observe entirety of the world. If one makes certain modification, he is sure to enjoy huge profit. By such selfish thought, the brilliancy is utilized. This will certainly create a sense of competition between people. Such kind of competition will lead for clashes and disputes. The peace will not there. The actions based on love will create a peaceful atmosphere. Where we find the peace, there the silence will rule. The status of silence permits everything to a peaceful nature.

To find a fact, one should relieve from his own thoughts of opinions. There should be no kind of self analyze in the mind. You have to keep the mind in a form of emptiness. Peace will begin to rule in mind and a clear status will reach. That status will act to show the fact.

Have you ever observed a child’s play? Our attentions are completely merged with the play of the child. During those moments, nothing except the actions of child could intermingle in the mind. The action seeing by a person and the playing of a child, relate to attention of concentration. No exterior thoughts can surround here.

An experience should be no other than experience. This inter transformation stage should be merged and the state of meditation could be obtained.

A broad minded nature and the ability to understand these stages by easy means could provide the merged status of meditation.

Just take the example of keeping the home in order. We look the disorderly occupation of things. We observe it and modify it properly. Similarly, the life with troubles and the reasons for confusion, we feel very well and question ourselves the reason for the hatred upon us by the others.

After exact planning and the basic way of remedial measures, when applied, this stage can be averted. Similar to that, arranging perfect mind is essential before we start meditation. This is the early stage of meditation. Arranging of the mind in proper way is the beginning of meditation. If we fail to do this, then the prayer will be just considered as Bajan. It is not the meaning that the enlightenment can be obtained through meditation. Enlightenment will rise when one is able to control the desire. Enlightenment will naturally reach when we detach the passions. That too, when we realize ourselves in meditation, this subject enlightenment will enlighten us.

When we inhale in and exhale out the gap in breath can be confined. An occasion will come when we breathe inside and leave the air out side, the breath inside and leave the air out side; the breath itself will have a stop. That time, is so called enlightenment through meditation.

We inhale the breath and exhale it. Like wise, the continuation with change happens. In a particular point of a short moment, the breath stops. By that time, you are not in the world. It is considered as death. The breath that gets entrance is considered as re-birth. The breath that exists out conferred as death. So, your status of facing the death and getting the rebirth continues. The gap between these two is highly negligible. This you can observe on action. After that nothing is needed for you. You will be with joy. You can observe everything. You can understand the truth. The explanation is this that nothing gets generated or destructed. Nothing is given to you and nothing is imposed to you. Everything that existed is already with you. Only little awareness is essential. You have to watch sharply the breath which enters in, in the first in-hale. You can forget everything. Just by touching the edge of nose, you can in-hale the breath. Your consciousness will register the inhaling. When the breath enters in, the consciousness also should simultaneously enter. If these two jointly when get in, you can find the gap between inhaling and exhaling. Let the system of breath in and breath out continue. The joining of consciousness also can be observed.

With all the awareness and the continued process of inhaling and exhaling of the breath, there is a moment to come and make a situation absolutely without breath. That is just for a small time. When you reach that moment, you are positively at the point of happiness. Through that the attainment, enlightenment is possible. That is the same way Buddha attained the enlightenment.MEDITATION

Meditation is witnessing. To meditate means to become a witness, to become aware. Meditation means awareness. One who engaged in meditation, with all his care, observes the atmosphere of the surrounding. Attention will be based with awareness. He can create a healthy relation with all the people nearby. The love will form a good culture of morality. That will certainly create a world of peace. The journey of love leads to meditation. Where there is love, there will be definitely the discipline. The pure atmosphere of innocence can prevail.

Through the brilliancy, we observe entirety of the world. If one makes certain modification, he is sure to enjoy huge profit. By such selfish thought, the brilliancy is utilized. This will certainly create a sense of competition between people. Such kind of competition will lead for clashes and disputes. The peace will not there. The actions based on love will create a peaceful atmosphere. Where we find the peace, there the silence will rule. The status of silence permits everything to a peaceful nature.

To find a fact, one should relieve from his own thoughts of opinions. There should be no kind of self analyze in the mind. You have to keep the mind in a form of emptiness. Peace will begin to rule in mind and a clear status will reach. That status will act to show the fact.

MARRIAGE COMPATIBILITY FACTORS IN ATHARVA VEDIC ASTROLOGY

We all have a relationship that works for us. Whatever you need from a relationship, there is someone out there, who can fulfil your needs. There is never complete compatibility as there are always some aspects of the relationship a couple needs to work out. If there were no issues to work out, then why would two souls come together. The trick in finding your best relationship is to look beyond the mere physical attraction and take all the issues you deal with to the spiritual evolution of your relationship.

Vedic Astrology pays great importance to relationships – especially marriage and there are many techniques for compatibility. Traditionally in India, the parents arranged marriages. One of the most important factors which, helped in making the marriages successful was the comparing of the birth charts of couple by the family astrologer. Our actions past and present create situations that we have to face through the journey of our life.

When we relate to our karma, we realise that this birth is only a small part of the whole, because this life is only one of a multitude of lives. The whole is like a necklace. Each lifetime is one pearl but all the pearls have to be strung together to make the necklace. In different life times we form contacts and relationships. Some relationships get completed but some remain unfinished. These unfinished relationships form part of our relationship Karma. The soul remembers. When we meet the soul of loved ones from the past, there is an instant connection. How often you have met someone to whom you are instantly attracted.

Rnanu Bandhana or Karmic Ties

Rnanu means debt and Bandhana means ties. This word is usually used for karmic ties that hold us together. Only those ties have an impact on this life which have some debts- in this case the word debt is meant as unfinished business. Before the soul is born it makes a decision on what relationships are going to mature in this lifetime and with whom it is going to pay off its karmic debts. At the time of birth, when the umbilical cord is cut, the mind forgets this but retains it in the subconscious. When we meet someone with whom we have a rnanu bandhana to work out, the inter-action begins immediately. But with those who you have completed your karma- there is an instant recognition but nothing develops from it. It is important to let go of these relationships. They create unnecessary confusion emotionally. Also some relationships are not matured, the time to pay off that debt has not arrived as yet. Again those relationships do not develop.

What type of relationship you experience depends on the karmic equation? When you fall in love, how this relationship works out depends on what your mutual rnanu bandhana is. If you have greater debts to pay, you will be the one who is putting more into the relationship. Sometimes you are stuck in a very one- sided situation and wonder why you are still in. In an unfinished relationship of past life where you were the taker, when your souls meet again you need to balance this equation, so this time around it is you who become the giver or vice versa.

In sexual relationships also the concept of rnanu bandhana is important. If you are in a relationship and your sexual relationship suddenly stops or the sexual attraction suddenly dies. The karma of sex may have been completed. Or you have a purely sexual relationship- then you had already worked out the other aspects of the relationship.

The Quality of the Moon

Moon as the significator of the mind, is the most important planet to study when you are trying to work with compatibility. If all other factors are good but the Moon is in an unhappy position in your chart or placed with difficult planets, then there will be issues within relationships. The Moon plays an important part in our hidden emotions, happiness and desires. As a planet which shows your relationship with your mother- it indicates the love or lack of it in your childhood.
